Frequently Asked Questions

  • It depends on the size of the property however we recommend you plan for up to 2 hours. Most photoshoots are often shorter but add-ons such as floor scans and aerial drone photos will extend the time.

  • You may freely cancel or reschedule any time before 24 hours prior to the agreed upon time of the photoshoot. If you cancel within the 24 hour period you will be charged a cancellation fee of 30% the total cost. Travel fee will not be included in the cancellation fee unless the photographer has already arrived at the property.

  • We understand that the beautiful PNW doesn’t always provide the ideal weather for real estate. If weather services predict rain during the planned photoshoot time we will reach out to you to see if you would like to reschedule. If you want to continue as planned, our photographers have the necessary equipment to photograph in the rain however if the rain/weather is too intense the photographer may need to reschedule. We cannot provide aerial drone photography if it is raining. Rescheduling and cancellations due to weather will not cause cancellation fees however travel fees still apply.

  • We work to fit your busy schedule and can accept photoshoots the day before if there is an open time slot in our schedule. Keep in mind that cancelling or rescheduling within 24 hours of the agreed upon time may incur a cancellation fee.

  • We understand that you may not have the ability to remove your pets from the property and we will accommodate their needs as much as we can. During the photoshoot it is best to confine your pets to a single room or crate while the rest of the property is photographed. We recommend that you remove or stow away any food bowls, crates, and litter boxes from view as those are often seen as deal breakers by potential buyers.

    If a pet is present during the photoshoot and is causing unnecessary distraction or shows signs of aggression to our photographers we may require you to remove the pet or we will need to cancel the photoshoot. Normal cancellation fees will apply.

  • We do! Our editing team will automatically apply sky replacements to photos if the sky is too cloudy or overcast. For more information please reach out using the contact page.

  • Unfortunately we do not currently offer twilight or sunset photography.

  • Once our editing team is finished editing the photos we will deliver them in a zipped folder through google drive via email using the email address you provided. If you prefer a different way let us know and we will accommodate your preferred method.

  • We currently offer a 3D virtual walkthrough video service that includes beautiful staging and furniture accompanied by music. For more information on this service please visit the Packages & Services page.

  • No! Our software that we use to create floor scans does not require the property to be empty. We do recommend that the property is clear of clutter but furniture such as chairs, beds, and couches will not cause an issue.

  • Absolutely, we offer an editing service to remove unforeseen objects such as stains, toys, leaves, and power cords. Please keep in mind that larger items such as furniture, tables, or televisions may not be removable. Contact us for more information on our object removal service.

  • No! You do not need to be present at the time of the photoshoot as long as we have a way of accessing the property. Please be sure to provide us with all necessary gate codes, keycodes, or lockbox combinations if you will not be present. We uphold strict confidentiality and do not share or keep any supplied codes or combinations after the photography session is complete.

  • You are free to use the images we supply for any purpose you require however Emerald Estates Studio maintains the copyright to the images we produce for our clients and the ownership does not automatically transfer upon delivery to our clients unless agreed upon by both parties via written contract.

  • All images produced by our studio are able to be used for Emerald Estates Studio’s own marketing and advertisement. If you prefer that your property remain private, just let us know and we will make sure the images remain confidential.

  • If the property in question is in close proximity to an airport we may be unable to provide drone photography services. Please contact us to learn more information regarding your specific property.

  • Our photographers use industry-leading high resolution mirrorless cameras and drones to produce professional grade photos with the quality you expect. Our photographers are FAA drone certified and comply with local, state, and federal aviation law.

  • We accept most forms of payment, here is a breakdown of the quote and invoice process.

    Once you send us your property information to begin the booking process, we will reach out to you to confirm the details and provide you with a quote. After the photoshoot is complete, an invoice will be emailed or provided to you along with your final photos. Payments can be submitted using credit card, Google/Apple Pay, or through payment apps such as Paypal, Venmo, or Cashapp.
